The Class II (laminar flow) biosafety cabinet is specifically designed to minimize the hazards inherent in working with agents assigned to biosafety levels 1, 2, 3, or 4. Meeting the essential requirements of EN 12469 and NSF/ANSI 49 standards, these partial barrier systems rely on precise air movement to provide comprehensive personnel, environmental, and product protection. It features an advanced internal plenum from which 30% of the air is safely exhausted through an H14 HEPA filter, while 70% is re-circulated to the clean zone as sterile downflow to prevent cross-contamination.
